C&O canal Killiansburg hiker biker campsite mile 75.2, MD, close to exploring Killiansburg Cave which is a great cave that is large past the narrow entry.
Canoe Antietam Creek including Ironworks rapids
Canoe Potomac through Harpers Ferry including the Needles and Whitehorse rapids
Canoe Northern Potomac through Little Orleans
Canoe Shenandoah through Harpers Ferry including Bull Falls and Whitehorse rapids
Manidokan Methodist Camp, MD, near Harpers Ferry, excellent camping facilities close to canoing, hiking, etc.
Marsden Track C&O canal, MD, youthgroup camping close to Billy Goat Trail and Potomac Falls
Pecometh Methodist Camp, MD, near Chestertown on the Chester River, good facilities and camping
Pocomoke River State Park, MD, canoe on the Pocomoke, also close to O.C. or Assateague for swimming. Better than camping at Assateague.
Poplar Grove, MD, youthgroup camping near Camp David, Cunningham falls
Rodney Scout Camp, MD, cabin or tent camping, close to Elk Neck State Park excellent shooting range
Rohrbach Youth Group, MD, near Antietam battlefield, useful for canoe trips in the area, battlefield bike trips, reinacting weekends, etc.
Sidling Hill Creek State Park, MD, former scout camp, adirondack shelters still available to reserve, good star gazing in winter.
Ski trip to Timberline, WV, stay in bunkhouses.
Ski trip to Whitetail, PA, one day event.
